Götessons Design Group, based in Ulricehamn, announces the new acquisition of Scan Sørlie.
Götessons Design Group (GDG) is a home for strong brands that create furniture, environments and products in a variety of applications. GDG is now continuing its growth journey through the acquisition of Scan Sørlie, a leading furniture player in the Nordic market with strong competence in production and product development.
Scan Sørlie is a successful supplier of shelving systems, office chairs, conference tables and lounge furniture and more for offices, meeting rooms, conference spaces, reception areas and lobby halls, and complements GDG’s business well geographically and through its range. The acquisition is part of GDG’s strategy to develop and support leading furniture brands.
“We are very happy to be able to offer a new segment to our markets”, says Emil Johansson, CEO at Götessons Design Group. “The company will continue to be run as a separate unit where we can provide support for functions that the group operates centrally for a more targeted focus on business development and sales work. Together with Scan Sørlie, we will broaden our competence and strengthen the group’s offer to architects, decorators and customers in the Nordic market but also internationally”, concludes Emil Johansson.
“We have a wide range of office furniture and soft seating. In recent years, we have developed new products and collections with a focus on high quality and with Nordic design at the forefront”, says Morten Vister, CEO at Scan Sørlie. “We have an attractive position in the market and have experienced solid and strong growth in recent years. I am convinced that we will be a good complement to Götesson’s Design Group. I am really looking forward to contribute to the group in the coming years,” says Morten Vister.
